Black Box Buy Signal!
$$ - Buy signal on the Black Box. Buying stocks. All in. As you know, I have been in cash and low beta stocks since the spring following a modified sell in may strategy. My portfolio outperformed the SP500 by nearly 7% year to date. I don't feel that good about it since I missed a big move in the summer. It should have been more! But, I will take it. Of course, the buy signal doesn't feel right. Tech stocks are crashing. Economic growth is slow. Companies are announcing layoffs. We have the fiscal cliff and partisan gridlock ahead, no

Pigskin Picks (Week 3)!
I did horrible last week, but here are my best guesses this week. (In edit: 8 wins, 5 losses, 1 tie).Redskins are -4 at Houston, and I think Brunell gets untracked. Both companies now come under the category of "have these earnings been phony?"

Sunday
Sunday finds me watching football, and sighing at the lackluster performance of my fantasy football players. It feels as if the football season is winding down for my hopes of finishing near the top, so now I have to watch just for the game itself. Forget about the players, and hope for entertaining games. Which is why I find myself on my laptop, reading Barrons wirelessly in front of the big screen.
Speaking of, has Alan Ableson ever been right about anything?
Well, field goal battle between the 49ers and Bucs. Hey, it could be worse
